I picked this coffee table while finishing the house before the holidays, and it gave our main sitting area exactly the settled feeling I wanted. What surprised me was how well it worked in everyday life instead of only looking good on its own, especially when everything is not perfectly styled. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. The space feels more mature now without losing the relaxed feeling we wanted. I am pleased with the decision and with how our main sitting area came together.
For the sitting room, the coffee table turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
In my family room, the nicest part is how naturally the piece became part of our everyday use of this room. From different parts of my family room, the piece still feels like it belongs with everything else. I was aiming for an update that would still feel comfortable day to day, and nothing around it had to change. The end result in my family room feels like our home, only more finished.
