I bought this table for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in the sitting room. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. I would choose the same direction again for this space.

A close friend who is picky about interiors gave this piece an immediate thumbs-up in our sitting room. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.
