In our family room, living with this coffee table day to day has made me appreciate the decision more, not less. I did not need to change the rest of our family room for this coffee table to make sense there. The overall effect in our family room is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The whole sofa area looks more connected now. I like how this coffee table gives our family room a clearer point of view without taking over. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
Of everything I changed in my sitting room, this piece made the most immediate visual difference.
The furniture we keep long term is usually the furniture that disappears into our routine, and this table is already doing that.
