In my living area, I like furniture that settles into a space instead of dominating it, and this piece does that in the space. I was aiming for something that would work with what we already owned, and the room finally has that balance. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
I bought the chest for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in the living area. What surprised me was how well it worked in everyday life instead of only looking good on its own, especially when I look at the room as a whole. The visual weight feels right to me, and the room still has plenty of breathing space. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. The end result in the living area feels like our home, only more finished.
For our bedroom, the nicest part is how naturally this chest became part of our everyday use of the room. The overall effect in our bedroom is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
