I wanted our main dining space ready before family came to stay, and this dining table pulled the space together in time.
It is surprisingly hard to find furniture that feels distinct without feeling loud, and the dining table gets that balance right. I can change smaller things around the dining table without feeling like the whole plan for my main dining space has to change. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. Weeknight meals feel a little more inviting now. I wish I had planned the surrounding pieces around it sooner; once I did, the room made more sense.
In our dining area, the scale of the room feels better to my eye now that this dining table is part of the arrangement.
In my dining area, I like that this table still feels right on an ordinary weekday, not just when the room is cleaned up for company.
