Within my hallway, I wanted one strong piece without making this room feel busy, and this worked out well. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. My hallway feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
The best part is that the piece looks intentional in our front room without asking for all the attention. From different parts of our front room, the piece still feels like it belongs with everything else.
In our hallway, I like this most when the house is quiet and this room is just being used normally. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
Morning and evening, the piece simply works with how we actually live in our front room.
