Nothing about this table feels forced in our living area; it simply makes the arrangement look more intentional. I wanted the room to feel finished without feeling formal, and this gets very close to that balance. The room feels more settled during everyday use. The overall effect feels considered without becoming precious. This table is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
Within my open living space, the furniture we keep long term is usually the furniture that disappears into our routine, and this table is already doing that. It feels like part of the house now rather than a new addition. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
A month later, I am even happier with how the table works in the sitting room. I was hoping the table would pull the sitting room together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in the sitting room.
