Looking at my primary bedroom now, our routine did not have to change around the piece; it slid into this room naturally. I wanted the room to feel finished without feeling formal, and this gets very close to that balance. I like how the piece gives my primary bedroom a clearer point of view without taking over. I was aiming for something that felt at home rather than showy, and this ended up being the right direction. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
From the doorway into my bedroom, I like this most when the house is quiet and this room is just being used normally. I was hoping this bedroom piece would pull my bedroom together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated.
With the rest of the room unchanged, I like that this bed still feels right on an ordinary weekday, not just when the room is cleaned up for company. This ended up being exactly the kind of update the guest bedroom needed.
