In the guest room, I usually need time to warm up to new furniture, but the piece made sense in the room right away. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. The end result in the guest room feels like our home, only more finished.
One addition made the guest room feel much less pieced together, and it was the chest. Nothing else in the room had to be replaced for the new setup to work. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. The best part for me is that the guest room still feels relaxed even with the chest giving it more structure. I did not need to change the rest of the guest room for the chest to make sense there. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
In my guest room, of everything I changed in the space, the chest made the most immediate visual difference.
Within my living area, this chest has a natural place in the room now, whether we are using the space or just walking through.
