Even with the rest of our main dining space unchanged, this table made the setup feel more complete. I was aiming for a more intentional room without a full redesign, and the room feels more settled. The room looks intentional without feeling arranged for a photo. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.
In our main dining space, I wanted the house to feel lived in rather than staged, and the piece works well with that idea. I would make the same decision for our main dining space again.
As part of our dining area, I chose this dining table because I liked it, but the fact that everyone else responded well was a nice bonus. The compliments have been about the room as a whole, not just one object, which I like. Our dining area feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
