Looking at our dining area now, most days I do not think about the furniture individually, but this table still makes the room feel more settled.
I chose this table because I liked it, but the fact that everyone else responded well was a nice bonus. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. The dining area feels more inviting whether it is a quick weekday meal or a longer dinner. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our main dining space needed.
Within my main dining space, this was the piece that made this room stop feeling half-finished. What surprised me was how natural it felt with pieces we already had, especially on a quiet weekday. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. It has enough presence to matter without making the whole room revolve around it. My main dining space feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
