Within the guest room, I wanted the space to look collected rather than decorated all at once, and this chest helped with that. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. The room feels more deliberate, but not like someone styled it just for a photo. This ended up being exactly the kind of update the guest room needed.
A lot of furniture looks good by itself, but this chest also works with the rest of my guest room. What surprised me was how easy it was to keep the room feeling relaxed around it, especially when the house is busy. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
