As part of our main dining space, nothing about this table feels forced in the room; it simply makes the arrangement look more intentional. What surprised me was how easy it was to keep the room feeling relaxed around it, especially after we stopped fussing with the arrangement. The room has a better sense of proportion to my eye now. I can change smaller things around this table without feeling like the whole plan for our main dining space has to change. I am pleased with the decision and with how our main dining space came together.
In our main dining space, I chose this table because I liked it, but the fact that everyone else responded well was a nice bonus. I did not buy it for compliments, but they have been a nice confirmation.
On a normal day, this table feels like it has always belonged in my main dining space. The setup feels less random now, even though we did not change much else. The end result in my main dining space feels like our home, only more finished.
