The room came together right before the holidays, and the seating piece was the finishing touch. I needed a little time to see how it fit with everything else, and now I am glad I kept the arrangement.
For the house we actually live in, I like furniture that settles into a space instead of dominating it, and this sofa does that in this room. I was aiming for an update that would still feel comfortable day to day, and the change feels noticeable without feeling dramatic. The whole sitting area feels more relaxed and complete. It helped bridge a mix of pieces we already had, which made the room feel more cohesive. I would make the same decision for the living room again.
As part of the everyday room, there is more cohesion in the room now, and it happened as soon as the piece went into place. What surprised me was how much the whole arrangement improved with one choice, especially at the end of the day.
I needed one extra round of rearranging around this sofa, but our main sitting area feels much more complete now.
