In the context of the main sitting area, the piece has been easy to work into the room because the overall design does not feel fussy. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in the main sitting area.
From the first glance across my main sitting area, a lot of furniture looks good by itself, but the coffee table also works with the rest of this room. It fits naturally into the way we gather in the living area.
Against what we already had, a close friend who is picky about interiors gave the piece an immediate thumbs-up in the space. I was aiming for a piece that would add presence without taking over, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it. It stands out just enough and still lets the rest of the room do its job. The piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
