I had a hard time deciding what our living area was missing, and this table turned out to be the answer.
What I like most about this piece is how naturally it belongs in our dining area. I was aiming for a room that looked considered but not precious, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it.
Here in the living area, there is a more finished rhythm to the room now, and this piece anchors it nicely. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. I would make the same decision for the living area again.
The more we use the open living space, the more natural this piece feels there. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
