This tall buffet includes nine drawers with reeded fronts. The stone top is accented with a raised gallery on three sides. Tapering curved legs are finished with brass ferrules. Brass oval pulls. Mahogany solids and veneer.

Looking at the dining area now, I was aiming for understated, and this piece landed in the right place visually. What surprised me was how much more intentional the room felt from the doorway, especially at the end of the day. The dining area feels ready for both everyday meals and company now. I notice the difference most when we are using the room normally. This feels like a decision I will be happy to live with.
Nothing about daily life in my main dining space feels rearranged around this sideboard, and I like that. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. Seeing this sideboard with the rest of my main dining space makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. What surprised me was how much calmer the room seemed, especially when everything is not perfectly styled. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
My partner keeps pointing out that the sideboard was one of the better choices we made for our dining room. I would give it five stars if I had not spent so much time second-guessing the placement.
