More than anything, I like how the seating piece works with the home office during real everyday use.
Chosen with daily routines in mind, the accent chair has made the living room feel more settled over morning coffee. I have already stopped thinking of it as the new piece, which is probably the best compliment.
To my eye, the accent chair gives the sitting area enough structure without making it feel heavy. The room feels more balanced from almost every angle now. It has become the seat people choose first. I also like that it still looks good when the room is being used normally and not perfectly styled. It is noticeable enough to add character, but not so noticeable that everything else has to match it. It turned out to be exactly the kind of update we needed.
