The sitting area feels more coherent now, and this chair is a big reason why. I am glad I did not try to fill the spot with something busier. It has become the seat people choose first. The piece photographs well, but I actually like it more in normal everyday light. It has earned its place in the room.

For me, the chair works because it feels just as natural during taking a break during the day as it does when the room is tidy. We did not need to change anything else around it for the space to work. It finished the room without making it feel overdone. I also like that it still looks good when the room is being used normally and not perfectly styled. I would make the same choice again.
