For this part of the house, one addition made the space feel much less pieced together, and it was this bedroom piece. It changed the tone of the room more than any smaller update could have. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
Compared with the room before, this has become one of those pieces I stop noticing as new because it fits our routine so well. The surrounding furniture feels less random now that this piece is part of our primary bedroom.
For this part of the house, there is a more finished rhythm to the room now, and this bed anchors it nicely. I was concerned the room might feel too designed, but the result is still very livable.
