For my sitting room, the piece turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered.
Within my living room, I had been overthinking this part of the room; this piece solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. I was aiming for something that felt at home rather than showy, and the room feels easier on the eye. What surprised me was how much more intentional the room felt from the doorway, especially on a quiet weekday. Nothing else in the room had to be replaced for the new setup to work.
