I wanted one strong piece without making the dining room feel busy, and this worked out well.
A few weeks in, this table still feels like the right decision for the dining room. What surprised me was how little else needed to change once this was in place, especially when friends are over. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
There is something nice about furniture that makes our dining area feel better without changing how you live in it. I like how this table gives our dining area a clearer point of view without taking over. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. Our dining area feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
