Within our sitting room, there is a quiet confidence to the coffee table that works well in this room. I was aiming for something that felt at home rather than showy, and the room feels more settled. It looks intentional from different parts of the room, which was important to me. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.
Nothing about this coffee table feels forced in our family room; it simply makes the arrangement look more intentional. The living area feels better when we are gathered around for coffee, conversation, or a quiet night in. What surprised me was how easy it was to keep the room feeling relaxed around it, especially once the smaller decor went back into the room. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.
