A few weeks in, this chest still feels like the right decision for my bedroom. I like that this chest works with what we already had in my bedroom instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated.
Even with the rest of our living area unchanged, the chest made the setup feel more complete. I can change smaller decor around it without feeling like the room has to start over. I would make the same decision for our living area again.
This chest has a little more visual presence in our living area than I expected, but I like the room much better with it there.
For our primary bedroom, a lot of furniture looks good by itself, but this chest also works with the rest of the space. What surprised me was how well it worked in everyday life instead of only looking good on its own, especially after we stopped fussing with the arrangement.
