Within our bedroom, I kept the rest of the room simple, and this bed gives the space just enough presence. I spent more time than expected deciding on the placement, though I am happy with it now.
For our primary bedroom, this bed turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. It changed the mood of the room more than I expected.
Looking at the bedroom now, one addition made the space feel much less pieced together, and it was this bed. I was aiming for a space that felt finished without looking formal, and this ended up being the right direction. The room looks intentional without feeling arranged for a photo. The overall effect in the bedroom is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The bedroom feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
