On weekends, I notice how much more finished the sitting area feels with this seating piece in place. I have already stopped thinking of it as the new piece, which is probably the best compliment. It finished the room without making it feel overdone. It is noticeable enough to add character, but not so noticeable that everything else has to match it. It has earned its place in the room.
