The best sign is that the console already feels like part of our regular routine in our hallway. The overall effect in our hallway is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own.
The best part is that the console looks intentional in my entryway without asking for all the attention. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. I like that the room still feels relaxed rather than overly coordinated. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
For our living area, this console turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. The area used to feel like an in-between space, and now it has a clear purpose visually. The setup feels less random now, even though we did not change much else. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our living area needed.
