For my primary bedroom, this bedroom piece turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. It changed the tone of the room more than any smaller update could have. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
This piece has a natural place in our primary bedroom now, whether we are using the space or just walking through. The piece has personality, but the room still feels like our home.
