With the smaller details kept simple, everyone in the house had an opinion when I chose this piece, and now nobody wants me to change it.
From the first glance across our dining area, what I like most about this sideboard is how naturally it belongs in this room.
I chose the sideboard during a post-move furniture reset, and it helped our main dining space feel less temporary. I notice the difference most when we are using the room normally. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.
As part of our main dining space, I like that the sideboard still feels right on an ordinary weekday, not just when the room is cleaned up for company. Our main dining space feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
