In the finished room, our routine did not have to change around this console; it slid into this room naturally.
For the front room, I keep finding small moments when I am glad we chose this piece, especially when the room is being used normally. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. The best part for me is that the front room still feels relaxed even with this piece giving it more structure. I am glad I took the time to choose this piece.
Against what we already had, even when the room is not perfectly tidy, the console still makes the overall space feel intentional. I was aiming for a more connected look across the room, and the room feels more settled. Walking past it every day, I like the room more than I did before. This ended up being exactly the kind of update the entryway needed.
