To my eye in our bedroom, I had been overthinking this part of the room; this dresser solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. What surprised me was how quickly it stopped feeling like a new addition, especially at the end of the day. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. I needed a little time to see how it fit with everything else, and now I am glad I kept the arrangement.
In the finished room, I had been overthinking this part of the room; this piece solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. Seeing this piece with the rest of my guest bedroom makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. I like how this piece gives my guest bedroom a clearer point of view without taking over. I was aiming for a room that felt collected over time rather than decorated all at once. I am pleased with the decision and with how my guest bedroom came together.
Compared with the room before, the rest of the space finally makes more sense around this dresser. For me, that makes this dresser one of the better choices we made for our primary bedroom.
