Most days I do not think about the furniture individually, but the bedside table still makes the guest bedroom feel more settled. It stands out just enough and still lets the rest of the room do its job. I am pleased with the decision and with how the guest bedroom came together.
With the smaller details kept simple, one addition made this room feel much less pieced together, and it was the bedside table. The bedside area now feels intentional instead of like the last thing we thought about. What surprised me was how much calmer the room seemed, especially after we stopped fussing with the arrangement. I can change smaller things around the bedside table without feeling like the whole plan for the guest bedroom has to change. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
