I wanted the primary bedroom to look collected rather than decorated all at once, and this piece helped with that. It makes the morning routine feel like part of a more finished room. This piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
As the room stands now, the room was close to done before, but the piece gave it the last bit of direction it needed. I was aiming for a room that looked considered but not precious, and the room finally has that balance. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
For the mood we wanted in my bedroom, I had been overthinking this part of the room; the dresser solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. What surprised me was how much the surrounding furniture benefited visually, especially during the ordinary parts of the week. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in my bedroom.
