A lot of furniture looks good by itself, but this chest also works with the rest of our guest room. The surrounding furniture feels less random now that this chest is part of our guest room. I would make the same decision for our guest room again.

Within our primary bedroom, I notice this piece most during the ordinary parts of the day, which is probably the best compliment I can give it. I did not need to change the rest of our primary bedroom for this piece to make sense there. I was aiming for a room with a little more structure and a little less visual noise, and the room finally has that balance. The best part for me is that our primary bedroom still feels relaxed even with this piece giving it more structure. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our primary bedroom needed.
