In our main sitting area, morning and evening, this piece simply works with how we actually live in the room. From different parts of our main sitting area, this piece still feels like it belongs with everything else. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our main sitting area.
For our family room, the coffee table turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. The room looks intentional without feeling arranged for a photo. It gives the seating area a clear center without making the room feel formal. Even a simple evening on the sofa feels a bit more pulled together with it there. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
