Right away, this sideboard gave the breakfast room a more intentional look without making it feel staged. It works with the rest of our furniture instead of competing with it.
On an ordinary evening, the buffet makes the dining room feel a little more settled and complete. The room still feels relaxed, which was important to me. It gave the dining area a proper focal point. I was more interested in how the room would feel after a few weeks than in the first five minutes. I can see this staying in the room even if we change some of the surrounding pieces later. I would make the same choice again.
In normal use, the dining room piece has been an easy addition to the room beside the kitchen and never feels fussy.
Compared with the room before, this sideboard makes the open dining area feel more intentional without adding clutter. A couple of guests have commented on how finished the space looks now.
