Nothing about daily life in our dining room feels rearranged around the table, and I like that. It feels just as right for an ordinary dinner as it does when people come over. The room looks intentional without feeling arranged for a photo. The table is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
I wanted the house to feel lived in rather than staged, and this dining table works well with that idea. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. It stands out just enough and still lets the rest of the room do its job. From different parts of the dining room, this dining table still feels like it belongs with everything else. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
Nothing about the dining table feels forced in my main dining space; it simply makes the arrangement look more intentional.
Looking at our main dining space now, I had a hard time deciding what this room was missing, and this table turned out to be the answer. For me, that makes this table one of the better choices we made for our main dining space.
