One addition made our bedroom feel much less pieced together, and it was this piece. I needed a little time to see how it fit with everything else, and now I am glad I kept the arrangement.
For my living area, a lot of furniture looks good by itself, but this piece also works with the rest of the space. I was aiming for a room with a little more structure and a little less visual noise, and this ended up being the right direction. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.
As part of my bedroom, the piece has been easy to work into this room because the overall design does not feel fussy. From different parts of my bedroom, the piece still feels like it belongs with everything else. The piece helped the room feel collected rather than pieced together. I spent more time than expected deciding on the placement, though I am happy with it now.
