Here in the sitting room, one addition made the room feel much less pieced together, and it was this piece.

We were still unpacking when this piece became part of our open living space, but it immediately gave the space some direction. It helped the room feel lived in rather than newly assembled.

Here in my living area, the nicest part is how naturally the piece became part of our everyday use of the space.

As part of my living area, the room finally has a focal point that still feels easy to live with. I would make the same decision for my living area again.
