For the house we actually live in, we have had a few people over since adding this piece, and it has quietly become part of the conversation. The space feels more mature now without losing the relaxed feeling we wanted. For me, that makes this piece one of the better choices we made for our living area.
With the rest of the room unchanged, people who knew the room before keep noticing that it feels more complete now. I notice the difference most when we are using the room normally. What surprised me was how much more intentional the room felt from the doorway, especially when everything is not perfectly styled. The end result in our dining room feels like our home, only more finished.
