Compared with the room before, what I like most about the sideboard is how naturally it belongs in the room. I was aiming for a room that looked considered but not precious, and this got us much closer to it. I was hoping the sideboard would pull my dining area together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. I am pleased with the decision and with how my dining area came together.
With the smaller details kept simple, I was aiming for understated, and this piece landed in the right place visually. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. From different parts of my dining area, this piece still feels like it belongs with everything else. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
From across the living area, the piece gives the arrangement a clearer sense of balance.
