For the mood we wanted in the guest bedroom, the nicest part is how naturally this dresser became part of our everyday use of the space. The overall effect feels considered without becoming precious. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
In the context of our guest bedroom, instead of changing everything in the room, I added this dresser, and that was enough.
In the context of our primary bedroom, it is surprisingly hard to find furniture that feels distinct without feeling loud, and this dresser gets that balance right. I was aiming for an update that would still feel comfortable day to day, and the space finally feels finished. I can change smaller decor around it without feeling like the room has to start over. What surprised me was how little else needed to change once this was in place, especially after we stopped fussing with the arrangement. I would make the same decision for our primary bedroom again.
