Worked into the existing room, this table made the open dining area feel more cohesive than I expected. A couple of guests have commented on how finished the space looks now. It works just as well on a normal weeknight as it does when people come over. It turned out to be exactly the kind of update we needed.
Making the open dining area feel complete took fewer changes than I expected once this table was in place. I have already stopped thinking of it as the new piece, which is probably the best compliment.
This dining table changed the balance of the open dining area without making the rest of the furniture feel secondary.
For casual get-togethers, the table helps the breakfast room feel ready without looking formally arranged. I also like how the oak detail reads in the room without feeling too showy.
