For the main sitting area, this sofa turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered.

For the living room, I like that the piece still feels right on an ordinary weekday, not just when the room is cleaned up for company. It did not take long for the piece to feel like it belonged with everything else. The setup feels less random now, even though we did not change much else. It brings a little more structure to the room without making the arrangement feel rigid. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in the living room.

For my family room, the piece fits the pace of everyday life in the room better than I expected. The surrounding furniture feels less random now that this piece is part of my family room. For me, that makes this piece one of the better choices we made for my family room.

My partner was less sure about the piece than I was, but now we both agree it works in our family room. The different opinions in our house finally landed in the same place.
