The piece has been easy to work into the entryway because the overall design does not feel fussy. What surprised me is how much better the whole room reads with one thoughtful addition. It helped bridge a mix of pieces we already had, which made the room feel more cohesive. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
Someone asks about the console table almost every time we have people over, which still makes me smile.
The rest of our hallway finally makes more sense around the console. The setup feels less random now, even though we did not change much else.
We finished decorating our entryway just before a housewarming, and the console ended up being the detail everyone noticed. The timing made the purchase feel especially memorable, but I still like it just as much in normal daily life. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. For me, that makes the console one of the better choices we made for our entryway.
