Within our main dining space, the overall look is calmer now that this dining table is part of the room. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
From across the main dining space, the dining table gives the arrangement a clearer sense of balance. It gives the room a clear center and makes the rest of the dining space feel intentional. I would make the same decision for the main dining space again.
