Used over holiday meals, the sideboard feels like a genuine part of the room beside the kitchen rather than something decorative only. The room still feels relaxed, which was important to me. It made the room feel more pulled together. It has earned its place in the room.
Watching the room come together, this buffet was the point when the dining room finally started to feel finished. The overall look is polished without crossing into formal. It gave the dining area a proper focal point. Very happy with how it has worked out.
Before guests arrive, there is very little I feel the need to change around this sideboard in the dining room. It works with the rest of our furniture instead of competing with it.
