Watching the room come together, this buffet was the point when the breakfast room finally started to feel finished.
In daylight, the buffet feels calm and natural in the room beside the kitchen rather than overly styled. It gives the space some presence while still feeling easy to live with. It gave the dining area a proper focal point. It turned out to be exactly the kind of update we needed.
Worked into the existing room, this dining room piece made the room beside the kitchen feel more cohesive than I expected. We did not need to change anything else around it for the space to work. It made the room feel more pulled together. I was trying to make the room feel edited rather than full, and this helped achieve that. It feels like a keeper.
