There is a more finished rhythm to our family room now, and the piece anchors it nicely. I would make the same decision for our family room again.
I like this most when the house is quiet and my living room is just being used normally.
Of everything I changed in our family room, the piece made the most immediate visual difference. What surprised me was how well it worked in everyday life instead of only looking good on its own, especially with the rest of our furniture around it. I like seeing it in the room during the quiet parts of the day. Our family room feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
