It is easy to forget this dining room piece is new because it already feels completely at home in the open dining area. It took me a little while to find the placement I liked best, but now the room feels right. I would happily choose it again for the same space.
This sideboard changed the balance of the room beside the kitchen without making the rest of the furniture feel secondary. The overall look is polished without crossing into formal.
Under normal evening light, the buffet still feels like the right choice for the room beside the kitchen. I needed a few days to get used to its presence in the room, and I like it much more now.
When friends visit, I especially notice how well the buffet belongs in the breakfast room. I have already stopped thinking of it as the new piece, which is probably the best compliment. It made the room feel more pulled together. I would happily choose it again for the same space.
